I have so many things that need to be done, and NO time to do them!
My cousins from Virginia were up this past week. In mild terms, it was absolutely awesome having them here! We did many crazy things :] Normal if you're a Kuepfer I guess.
We did a lot of fishing. And when I say a lot, I seriously mean A LOT! It was good though. One night we went out on Lake of the Woods and caught 31 keepers... and threw probably as many back because they were either to small or too large =)
Ru and I heading out for one of our many fishing adventures
We did a lot more than fishing though. One day we decided to go try some mini golf. Well, when we got there -- it ended up being a lot more of a "mini mini" golf than mini golf. If that makes any sense :] In other words, it was the smallest mini golf course I've ever seen. But we made it fun anyway! After we took one of our many trips to Tim Hortons to cool off with some iced raspberry lemonades. Yum!
Tj and I during the rad mini golf game =)
So what else happened? We decided to do some "back in the wilds" camping... Hmmmm proved to be a very interesting experience -- but probably one of the most fun times! Mike and Tim searched out a campsite on the boat -- which ended up being sloped rocks and moss with many trees in the background. SO we piled the boat high and sailed to this "Hilton" as one man described it as he boated by. A tent was set on the slanted rocks for us girls, sloping towards the lake. [I must say I had to keep moving up towards the top of the tent during the night cause' I kept sliding towards the lake!] We made bannock and fish over the fire... talked around the glowing flames til early morning hours, jumped in the lake at midnight, sang, and just pretty much had a rockin' party! Tim and I attempted making breakfast in the morning... after a few burned pancakes, half-cooked bacon, and greasy eggs we finally got some decent tasting food for the gang. The morning ended up being more swimming, some fishing, and us girls sitting by the lake discussing life. Yes, it was good good times right there!
The gang on the way to the campsite
A calm lake, a setting sun, and a crackling fire. Yeah, I love the north!
Hmmm interesting story? Or crazy people?
The crew =)
The lastnight we decided we were sick of fishing and headed to MacDonald's... We were slightly crazy and odd and strange and everything else! But it was fun!
I love my brother!!
Mmmm this cone is good :]
Handsome man!! =)
Chilling inside...
Evil glare
Mike cracking us up!!
Ahhh enjoying the sunshine :]
So pretty much to sum up the week -- we NEVER had a dull moment. Between fishing, power naps, town trips, camping, planning a mission trip, talking, rook playing, volleyball, IGO plans, and everything else in between, it was grand! Wanna come back sometime?! :}
