We. Have. This. Moment.

How do you even begin to describe such an incredible week with the most wonderful people?

It was a week we all looked forward to for...well...a long time. We were all there -- the entire Clair Schnupp clan, from his five daughters and their husbands to our newest member and first great-grand child, Merek. Here we all are, together:

Normally, we get together every summer, but it has been a number of years since EVERYONE was there, due to weddings of grandchildren and a great grand coming into the world. We cancelled our annual summer Schnupp gathering this past summer in order to all be together over Christmas. And, after much planning we all gathered together from all ends of the earth: Oregon, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Toronto, Kenora and Dryden.

A theme song in the Schnupp family, ever since my Mom and aunts were young girls is, "We Have this Moment." And so I chose to title this blog post with those words. We have this moment.

The week was perfect. In just every way. And since the saying goes "a picture speak a thousand words," I will turn to that route now.

And here we are, gathered together for sharing in the evening.

Proud uncle Davy ;-)

 Love these girls!

Merek. I'm proud to be his "auntie" :-)

 Our "snack" table :-)

I couldn't get enough of this sweet-pea.

A delish Low Country Boil

Lots of fooseball and pingpong happened.

 Two of my favourites.
My Opa and my cousin Amy.

 Oma.
Doesn't she look so young?!
But she still gets out on the rink to play broomball!

 Oma sharing with us ladies.

 Boyfriend. Brother. Baby Merek.

SO happy to be with him!

 We're a scary team in pingpong ;-)

 Opa rocking the pingpong :-)
He also got out with us and played hockey and broomball!

 Love this man ;-)

I couldn't resist posting these two pictures yet,
of this precious, precious child.

 Hockey!

Father-son time :-)

One night we had a wild meat feast!

There were NINE different wild meats!

Three kinds of grouse.

 My favourite fish.
From the arctic.

And of course Enos makes the BEST bannock!

Love this girl!

 Talent night.

We three ambitious people woke up early...
...and made donuts for brunch.

One [main] reason we were all there --
To celebrate my grandparents 55th wedding anniversary!

Grandpa and Grandma
Singing with their five daughters.

We also celebrated Dad and Mom's 25th wedding anniversary!

I enjoyed making/decorating this cake.

Esta Faye.

Great-grandpa with his first great-grand :-)

And that, my friends, brings me to the end of this blog post. I hope you all have a very happy new year!
